Two players from the same team were named MVPs for the fourth matchday of Basketleague Skratch! 

 

Guard duo from Kolossos H Hotels, Aggelos Tsamis and Mike James, was on fire at home against Paneleysiniakos. The 33 year-old from Patras and the 24 year-old American led their team to victory and were named Most Valuable Players of the matchday as they had the highest ranking (34 points) among the players who performed in the fourth matchday of Basketleague Skratch. It must be mentioned that the last time two players from the same team were named MVPs was in season 2011-12 in the twentieth matchday. Both Zak Wright and Diode Cristmas, playing for Rethymno Aegean, got 31 ranking points in their team΄s away win against Amarousion (92-80).

 

«The nomination of us both as MVPs proves the team΄s hard work and the passion we all show in order to succeed», stated Tsamis in www.esake.gr. It must be also noted that he (Tsamis) almost got (reached) a triple double figure with 25 points (7/8 fts, 6/12 2pts., 2/6 3pts.), 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. 

 

«It is truly beautifu» stated James for his second personal nomination as MVP of Basketleague Skratch this season. «We proved how much we wanted to win against a team with the same objectives as ours», noted the 24 year-old guard, who initially made a cheerful comment on the fact that this was his second nomination as MVP this season: «I don΄t know how it happenned». He continued his comments by stating: «Maybe I was a bit lucky, but I always play hard whoever the opponent is, and I always have the support from my teammates». He concluded: «I am happy when I play well, as I want to help my team reach its objectives».
